Marcin, a paramedic with the Wallington Fire Department, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Arden Valley Road in Tuxedo, N.Y. at 3:18 p.m., according to a New York State Police report.
His obituary on the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service website says he had "just begun his journey of his part of the American dream."
Marcin became an EMT in high school and graduated at the top of his class for paramedic school at Bergen Community College, his obituary says. he went on to become an "integral" part of teams for the Wallington Fire Department, Englewood Health EMS, and The Valley Hospital, having started volunteering at just 16 years old.
Visitation is set for 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 at the Warner-Wozniak Funeral Service in Wallington. A procession to honor Marcin will be led by the Wallington Fire Department on Monday, May 6 at 10 a.m., starting at the funeral home and ending at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Wallington, where the funeral mass will be held. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack.
